Trend Alert : High - Low

If the length of your hem is a matter of torment to you, then this trend is sure going to perk you up! Wearing it high or low?? who cares! Wear it both ways, at the same time.

Ranging from blouse on tops to dresses and skirts, this trend has been accepted by all the fashionistas. It implies that the hem of your attire is high as well low. This really makes the outfit interesting.

Here's how you work this trend:

Pick these for a casual outing or maybe when you meet your friends post work. When you are wearing a high-low top, pair it with cigarette pants or extremely skin hugging jeans. This will make sure that all the extra fabric that you are wearing does not make you look fat. To make it more interesting, add a printed clutch to accesorize.

Something in a rich fabric like the outfit above will make your look super polished. Blends of silk and satin work very well for creating pleats and a waterfall hem. Work with chiffon to give a very breezy look.

For working this trend the Indian way, give your patiala (that you tucked away in some corner of your closet soon after jab we met) a new companion. Pair it with a high-low kurta shown here. Keep styling minimal as there is a lot going on in this look. Another quick tip - give extra attention to the fit

Then again you have this dress material that your mom possibly bought for you off some wedding exhibition, get it stitched like Dia Mirza. You are so going to love me for this one.

Sporting an Indie-chic glam look has never been so interesting. Bare your mid-riff just a tad bit and add some embellishments, you are good to go. This oh-so-Indian number looks perfect for that cousin's wedding. Not very OTT, yet has the element to get you a handful of awe-struck glances.

Again, an outfit that you can wear to at a big fat family do. Go easy on the embellishments, these are a little over-whelming. You can always replace this wrap dhoti with a pair of cigarette pants.

If you are one of those fashion forward, quirk struck lady who would love to do it OTT, this one is for you. If the occasion is appropriate I would definitely love to adorn this Sahil Kochar cape. I think its pretty striking.

Already having expressed my love for the above cape, the deep green high low blouse and the blue patiala are my favorites. Which one is yours???
